The UNH Cooperative Extension will be providing a workshop on combating parasites in sheep and goats on June 1 from 9 AM to 1 PM at the Abdali Farm, 181 Route 12A in Langdon, NH.
Internal parasites are a major health problem for sheep and goats in the Northeast and can be economically devastating for small and large herds. FAMACHA and fecal egg counts are diagnostic tools used to help identify parasite infection in small ruminants. These tools help producers make better deworming decisions to maximize efficacy and combat resistance.
Join Field Specialists Dot Perkins and Elaina Enzien for a hands-on workshop in learning how to use and implement FAMACHA and fecal egg counts within your own herd or flock.
