Proctor Welcomes Gordon Research Conferences

By Scott Allenby, Proctor Academy

Proctor Academy has hosted Gordon Research Conferences on campus during the summer months for decades. These conferences will bring well over 1,000 world renowned scientists to the Town of Andover this summer. In the past, GRC has welcomed Nobel Peace Prize winning scientists to the speciality conferences drawing scientists from around the globe together to discuss topics as diverse as biomolecular chemistry, Proteoglycans (GRS), and the study of rock deformation.

Proctor’s campus (and the Town of Andover) are reviewed each year by attendees of Gordon Research Conferences, and without fail, reviews of the quality of food, maintenance of facilities, housekeeping services, and friendliness of the Town’s folk are among the highest of any conference location. These reviews combined with the ancillary benefits of retreating to Andover’s lakes, ponds, Northern Rail Trail, and extensive trail networks has led to incredibly high demand for this year’s conferences as Proctor will host ten straight weeks of conferences.

Thank you to all of Proctor’s Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Dining Services staff who have made Proctor a favorite destination for thousands of conferees over the years!
