Strike a match! Light the fire! Watch our 4th of July celebration come to life! Things will be popping all over town.
Think about it:
The fittingly named Firecracker 5K foot race.
The sizzle of the grills of the non-profit food vendors.
The sparkle of the jewelry and other fine products for sale at the Market on the Green.
Similar to the fireworks shot into the sky, our American flag will be raised.
You’ll be dazzled by the patriotic music.
And, of course, at dusk we’ll have the real thing…fireworks! Look up and be amazed.
On top of all of that we’ll have a train ride for kids, softball games, organized games for kids during the day which include a duck pond, ball toss, and spinning wheel. Don’t leave after the parade! Bring the whole family for the day into the evening and enjoy an afternoon of music, refreshments and activities for the kids leading up to the fireworks.
To get everyone’s patriotic juices flowing and to raise community spirit, there will be a free concert on Thursday, June 7 at the amphitheater near the school at 7 PM. Come and enjoy Nick’s Other Band with an opening performance by Sferes & White. Refreshments will be sold by the Andover Emergency Services Auxiliary.
We are also hoping for a good turnout at our family movie night on Saturday, June 30. The new movie, Peter Rabbit, will be shown at the Stone Chapel on the Village Green at 6:30 PM. Refreshments will be sold by the Andover Emergency Services Auxiliary.
If you like to see a lot of kids smile, come help us with the children’s games during the day. Any amount of time you can give will be greatly appreciated. If you can help, send an email to Doug Phelps at doug.phelps80@nullgmail.com.
