State Park Committee Visits Dept. of Corrections Firewood Kiln

Press Release
The N.H. State Parks Advisory Council recently visited the N.H. Department of Corrections Industrial Farm to learn more about the firewood operations and the on-site kiln that the Division of Parks purchased for the farm. The kiln heats more than 300 cords of firewood per year to high temperatures, drying it and eliminating any invasive species. The wood is sold at many N.H. State Parks campgrounds.
