Beacon Fund Drive Wraps Up July 10

Page sponsorships now being offered

By Steve Foley

Back in May the Andover Beacon’s board of directors reached out to the community with a goal of raising $8,000 by July 10. Once again, the people of Andover have responded in a very generous way and have demonstrated that the Beacon has value to the community. If you have not yet contributed, please do it now and see if we can make this drive go over the top of our goal!
As a not-for-profit corporation, the Beacon has always depended on the generosity of the citizens of Andover to fill the gap between our operating costs and the amount raised from advertising and subscriptions.

The board of directors and the staff of the Beacon are actively striving to increase revenue from advertising and are now implementing “page sponsorship” opportunities as an additional revenue stream.

Individuals, families, neighborhoods, businesses and organizations are invited to sponsor the cost of printing a page of the Beacon for a year.
Sponsorship for a color page is $550. Black and white pages are only $350 per year.
Shelley Geoghegan, Publisher, says that “Sponsorships can go a long way in offsetting the cost of producing the Beacon. It gives businesses, who might not really profit from an ad in the Beacon to publicly show their support. Individuals, families, or organizations can show their support in the same way.”
The Beacon’s board of directors and staff have chipped in to sponsor a page already. See the sponsor banner below.
