The September 11th State Primary includes the election of a State Representative for Merrimack County District 1, which includes the towns of Andover, Danbury and Salisbury.
According to a document dated August 6, 2018, published by the House Clerk, Representative Anne Copp resigned on June 9, 2018. The Beacon was unaware of her resignation and the fact that the district was not represented for nearly 3 months and will not be represented until the new term begins.
Ken Wells(D) of Andover is the only candidate listed on the ballot for this position.
