The First Friday Fun Film Society will show “Secondhand Lions” on Friday, February 1 at The Andover Community Hub at 2:30 PM.  All are welcome, free of charge, and light refreshments are served. The Hub is located next to Pizza Chef in downtown Andover.

This 2003 American comedy-drama tells the story of a shy adolescent boy who is sent to live with his eccentric and hard-boiled great-uncles (played by Robert Duvall and Michael Caine) on their Texas farm.  As they gradually warm up to the boy, he also helps reawaken their youthful spirit.

The Film Society meets on the 1st Friday of each month to show movies that are “somewhat light and fun, nothing too serious, and with a broad appeal, whether classics, ‘oldies’ or more current films. ”
