John Delaney, the first Democrat to announce his candidacy for President of the United States in 2020, will be in Andover for a “Meet and Greet” at 12 noon on Wednesday, February 13.  All are welcome to meet Delaney, a businessman who served as U.S. Representative from Maryland’s 6th congressional district from 2013 to 2019. and to learn more about his views. The event will be held in The Barn at the Highland Lake Inn, 32 Maple St. in East Andover.  While the barn has some heat, it is suggested that attendees dress warmly.

Delaney has said about himself, “People have a hard time labeling me. Some of the things they hear me talking about are on the total progressive or liberal end of the spectrum, and in other ways I’m kind of a solutions-oriented moderate who wants to get things done.”
