Watts Water Technologies contributes to Franklin VNA & Hospice Tea in the Garden fundraiser

Saturday, June 8 at Franklin VNA and Hospice

Press release

FRANKLIN – June 8th will be a very special day at The Teuscher-Wilson Hospice Garden. The Garden, at 75 Chestnut Street in Franklin, will host the Franklin VNA & Hospice first annual Tea in the Garden Hospice fundraiser from 2 to 4 PM.. The event will feature a classic afternoon tea menu, a guided selection of teas to taste, and a live classical guitar player. Musician Matthew Lister will set the tone and provide entertainment for all patrons to enjoy the afternoon tea, or while they wander through the beautifully blooming gardens where they can view, and bid on, the silent auction offerings.

The event is to raise funds for the Hospice program and enable them to continue the important work of caring for those who are near the end of their life. To help support this worthy cause, Watts Water Technologies has come forward to sponsor many of the baskets that guests can bid on. These will include a selection of white wines in a basket, or its counterpart basket of red wine, baskets of delicious chocolates, relaxing spa products and even a whimsical gardening basket!
“Both Watts Water Technologies and the Franklin VNA & Hospice have a strong commitment to supporting the communities,” says Tabitha Dowd, Executive Director. “We’re grateful to them for their sponsorship of the baskets; their support of the fundraiser will enable our Hospice program to continue to provide the excellent and compassionate care that we are known for.”

The Teuscher-Wilson Hospice Garden is home to the Memory Patio, where memorial bricks can be purchased in honor of a loved one who has passed and plays host to the grief groups held at the Franklin VNA & Hospice in warmer weather. The garden was created in a partnership of love, labor and needed funding through the Winnisquam High School Agricultural and Natural Resource students, Franklin VNA & Hospice staff and volunteers, and Founding Donor Watts Water Technologies.
When asked why they chose to host an afternoon tea in the garden as their fundraiser Dowd notes, “The garden is such a beautiful, calming place. We thought it would be fun to host the event there to help introduce the garden space to our community. It is available to visit anytime anyone needs to find serenity. What better way than with a fun event to help strengthen our programs? Tickets would make a lovely Mother’s Day present, and we hope people will be inspired to purchase tickets for themselves as well so they can come to enjoy an afternoon of beauty that will delight all of their senses.”

Tickets are $25 each or $40 per pair. The event has limited seating so please call ahead to purchase tickets 934-3454.
