August Events for Ausbon Sargent

Press Release

Dragonfly Walk in Grantham at Sawyer Brook Headwaters Property

Thursday, August 6   2  to 4  PM

Dragonflies can be seen flying all around your yard, particularly on sunny days and more so if you live near a lovely pond.  But what else do you know about dragonflies? Did you know there are damselflies? Not only will our Land Protection Specialist, Andy Deegan share his knowledge with you, but you’ll have an opportunity to net a dragonfly to observe and identify the variety and appreciate the intricacies of the species before safely releasing it and sending it unharmed back into flight.  This event is very popular and offers a great experience for multi-generations. Refreshments will be served at the end.

Registration is required for this free event as space is limited.  Please RSVP to Kristy by calling 526-6555 or emailing her at kheath@nullausbonsargent.org
