Summer Music Associates is a non-profit organization in New London that sponsors and promotes five concerts each summer.  SMA is now pursuing ways to sponsor programs that will musically impact the school-aged population. Project Trio, a passionate, high-energy chamber music ensemble comprised of three virtuosic composer/performers from Brooklyn, New York, will spend two days in the district teaching and performing with area students.

On Wednesday, September 25, Project Trio will present a workshop to the Kearsarge High School Band. The trio will rehearse a piece of music with the student musicians culminating in a joint performance that evening at 7 PM in the high school auditorium.  This concert is free and open to the public. No tickets are necessary.

On Thursday, September 26, Project Trio will visit the Kearsarge Regional Middle School where they will present a concert for the entire student body and offer a “musicality” workshop for 200 members of the middle school band and chorus.

Following the middle school presentation, Project Trio will complete their visit to the Kearsarge Regional School District with a concert offered to 300 fourth and fifth grade students from the four Kearsarge Elementary Schools.
