On a rainy September 11 morning, about a hundred Andover elementary and middle-school students, teachers, and townspeople gathered near the school to attend a ceremony in memory of those New Hampshire residents who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks against the United States on the morning of Tuesday, September 11, 2001. The attacks leveled the World Trade Center in New York City, killing 2,996. The ceremony was organized by the town’s American Legion Crosby-Gilbert Post 101.
