The sixth graders read The Incredible Journey written by Shelia Burnford. After reading this adventurous story, students worked with small groups to create projects incorporating their knowledge of the book and creativity. Projects were music soundtracks, movie posters and trivia games. Each project had specific guidelines and a grading rubric to foster success.
