Michelle Dudek Accepts Vacant Selectboard Position

Has served in many key volunteer positions in Andover

By Michelle Dudek

My name is Michelle Dudek and I have accepted a vacant position as an Andover Selectboard Member.

First and foremost, I am the mother of two middle school aged boys.  I am also a high school English teacher with the Virtual Learning Academy Charter School (VLACS), and a certified LEGO Education Academy teacher trainer. I have lived in East Andover for the last 16 years.

I have extensive experience serving our community from volunteering at AE/MS, to coaching recreational soccer, to serving on boards. From 2012-2018 I served on the Andover School Board, four years of which I served as Chairperson and two as Vice-Chair of the SAU Board.  During my time on the school board I also served on the Andover Budget Committee and the Andover-Proctor Liaison Committee.

As a town, and as the Selectboard, we face some sizable challenges and projects.  I will approach all of these with an open mind, fresh eyes and ears, and by respecting the time, ideas, and efforts others have already invested. I look forward to engaging with the town in this new capacity as Selectperson, and capitalizing on the unique strengths, experiences, and skills that Andover’s residents bring to the table.
