Sign-Ups Open For On-Site Easement Monitor Training Workshop

While Ausbon Sargent has had to cancel most of their upcoming events, they are still able to hold their outdoor workshop on Easement Monitor Training.

As Ausbon Sargent proudly protects more properties, we continually need additional easement monitors to help us meet our stewardship obligations.This is a great opportunity for you to spend a couple of hours in the woods making a positive contribution toward saving our rural landscape.

Sue Andrews, Andy Deegan, and Anne Payeur will meet the pre-registered participants outside of the Ausbon Sargent office for some initial instructions before heading to a beautiful nearby New London protected property for some fieldwork.The commitment to you is minimal, but the value to Ausbon Sargent and our region is immeasurable.

We will be following social distancing guidelines and are offering two dates for the workshop to keep the classes to seven participants. With three instructors, the maximum group size will be 10 people. Sign up information is as follows:

Monday, June 3, 2 to 6 PM or Monday, June 10, 2 to 6 PM.

Learn how to use a map and compass to help us monitor our easement properties. This class involves verbal instruction and practice on a nearby property.
