Phase 2 of our plans for reopening the Andover Libraries begins on September 1. Curbside service will continue for those who prefer it.

Do not come to the library if you are not feeling well or have any of the symptoms associated with COVID-19: fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, or diarrhea.

We will have masks and hand sanitizer available for patrons. Frequently touched surfaces will be disinfected regularly. Bathrooms will not be open to the general public, so plan ahead!

Masks or face shields must be correctly worn. The mask must cover your nose and mouth, and it must reach below and around your chin. See the CDC guidelines for wearing a mask. Social distancing must be observed.

Individuals or a family group should make an appointment for a 15-minute visit. We’re not expecting a huge crush of people coming to the library all at once, so you could probably come to the library, call us from the parking lot, and get an immediate or almost immediate appointment.

Both libraries have new patron computers. If you need to do computer work for a longer period of time, please call ahead so we can schedule you for a longer visit.

Returned books need to be placed in boxes to be quarantined for three days. If you touch a book and decide not to check it out, please place it in the return box.

If New Hampshire experiences a resurgence of COVID-19, as many states have, we will return to Phase 1: curbside service only.
