Democratic Primary – Governor

The COVID crisis has raised the stakes on so many of the critical issues over the last two years.

First, in the Senate, I’ve led the way on Paid Family and Medical Leave Insurance because no one should have to choose between their loved ones and their job. Unfortunately, PFML was vetoed, which has exacerbated the impacts of COVID for so many families.

Second, Granite Staters pay the highest health care costs in the country, so we passed legislation to reduce the cost of prescription drugs.

Lastly, we have leaders in DC and right here in New Hampshire whose priorities are looking out for their political allies and campaign contributors. From the White House to the State House we need to make a change and put people first.

Over the next two years, I will lead a relief and recovery effort that looks out for everyone and ensures that the same folks who fell through the cracks during the last economic crisis, have someone in their corner looking out for them.

Second, we must do more to lower health care costs. Health care is a right and not a privilege, but for too many, it is still out of reach and unaffordable.

Finally, we must reform our political system so it truly looks out for everyone, including, campaign finance reform, expanding access to the voting booth, and establishing a bipartisan independent redistricting commission.

This election is about building a bigger, better, and brighter future for everyone.
