German Stormtroopers, (SA), known as Brown Shirts, were founded in Germany in 1921. This was a paramilitary organization whose methods of violent intimidation played a key role in Adolf Hitler’s rise to power.

In Italy, around the same time Benito Mussolini’s Fascist Black Shirts were active. Now 100 years after the founding of the SA, we have Donald Trump’s Federal Troops against American Citizens.

The people of Germany and Italy were not essentially different from people here in Andover, but back then they were too slow to head off the destruction of their freedom. Will we, today, tolerate voter intimidation and suppression, engineered inadequacy of the postal service, and destruction of “our Democracy”?
