Faith Minton is running to represent Merrimack County District 25 in the New Hampshire House of Representatives. Faith is a long-time Warner resident (40+ years) who has spent these many years with her husband, raising their two sons, and contributing to her community in a variety of ways. In addition to her employment as a public school teacher, Faith has represented Warner on the Kearsarge Regional School Board; co-founded a non-profit day care center in Warner (and served as board chair); served as a Friends Volunteer youth mentor for girls in Warner; served as a board member of MainStreet Warner Inc. (creating the Jim Mitchell Community Park); and volunteered annually for the Warner Fall Foliage Festival. In recognition of her many years of community service, she received the 2017 Warner Men’s Club Award. She also found time to own and operate a small business in the midst of these very busy years.
Thus, Faith Minton has a depth of experience that will aid her when she takes her position as our Representative to address the many problems facing New Hampshire and its citizens. In getting to know Faith, I am excited to learn that she shares many of my concerns and is determined to do her best to solve them. As a former public school teacher, she knows full well how important it is to adequately fund our public schools, as well as our technical schools, in order to provide all of our children and young adults with the educational boost that they need to succeed. As a former small business owner, she also knows that New Hampshire must expand its economic base, so that the young adults we educate will be able to remain in New Hampshire and to contribute to the economy, with well-paying jobs and the ability to raise and support their families.
Faith is also a firm believer in the need to care for New Hampshire’s air, water, and natural environment and will advocate for clean renewable energy to protect these resources, as well as the health of New Hampshire citizens. Working towards clean energy efficiency will create jobs; the availability of good jobs will attract young workers and families; young families will ensure the sustainability of New Hampshire as a desirable state to work, play and prosper.
I encourage all voters in Andover, Danbury, Salisbury, Warren, and Webster to vote for Faith Minton on November 3 to represent Merrimack District 25, consistent with the principles that have guided her all of these many years of service to her community.
