Jingle Bucks Fundraiser Returns With a New Twist

Funds will also support local business community

Press release

Sunapee Region Board of Realtors (SRBR) is pleased to announce the return
of the popular annual fundraiser, Jingle Bucks. With a goal to support local community organizations in the Sunapee-Kearsarge region, this year, the fundraiser was modified to have twice the impact by also raising funds in support of the local business community.

Jingle Bucks is one of the many fundraisers SRBR and its Business Partners host annually through its Neighbors Helping Neighbors committee (NHN). In prior years, local businesses have generously backed this important fundraiser by donating gift cards to be raffled off. As 2020 has presented challenging times for many, NHN engaged its fellow board members and Business
Partners to help purchase gift cards, in turn supporting the local business who have given so much to our communities.

“The new Jingle Bucks format has a two-fold impact on our community,” said Anne Marie Appel, SRBR president-elect and NHN co-chair. “It not only allows us to continue raising funds for organizations in need, but also to support the amazing local businesses during these pressing times. The outpouring of generosity from SRBR members and our Business Partner Community has been truly heartwarming and has allowed NHN to double our fundraising
efforts.”

To date, NHN has raised more than $4,000 in funds to purchase gift cards to local area businesses. Those gift cards will be raffled off during the month of December through the purchase of Jingle Bucks. Over the years, funds raised through Jingle Bucks have been distributed to area food pantries, student scholarship programs, among many others. Jingle Bucks can be purchased for $5 a card. The purchaser’s name is entered into the raffle drawing where there are over 70 chances to win and over $4,000 in local prizes.

If you’re interested in purchasing Jingle Bucks, contact Jacinta Josephs at 603-526-4116. You can also purchase them at Better Homes and Gardens, The Milestone Team at 224 Main Street, New London, or from any SRBR member.
