Nancy R. Rodgers 79, of Salisbury, was called home by God at sunrise on November 11, 2020, with her daughters by her side.
Nancy was born on November 8, 1941, to Charles K. Brockstedt and Claribel Nichols Brockstedt in Paterson, New Jersey. Nancy graduated from Andover High School and attended Plymouth State University. She retired from the State of New Hampshire, Department of Education, in 2004, having worked over 30 years. She also volunteered her time as secretary to NETSEA for over 20 years, retiring in 2019.
After retiring in 2004, she took on a part time job with the New Hampshire Human Rights Commission where she remained through September, 2020. Nancy loved exploring Canada, the White Mountains, and the sea coast with her husband Robert. She enjoyed spending time with her family, yard sales, and scrapbooking.
She was a member of the Bartlett Grange in Salisbury, and was a member of the Boutwell Bowling Center in Concord for many years. She remained a member of the Bektash Shriners after Robert’s death.
Nancy is predeceased by her husband, Robert M. Rodgers (2002) of 40 years, her parents Charles and Claribel Brockstedt, and her brother Kenneth Brockstedt.
She is survived by her two daughters, Kelly Rodgers-Loan of Salisbury, Kathleen A. Shattuck and husband Sam of Concord, and her brother Donald Brockstedt, of Andover. She has seven grandchildren: Aric Gamble, of Pembroke, Kaitlynn Gamble of Salisbury, Shaun Shattuck and his wife Kimberly of Concord, Lauryn Shattuck of Concord, Robert Loan of Manchester, Riley and Tyler Loan of Boscawen.
Nancy was also blessed with two great grandchildren, Emmett and Evelynn; and Several nieces and nephews.
Services will take place on June 2, 2021 at 2 PM at the Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen. Pallbearers will be Kaitlynn Gamble and Lauryn Shattuck.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, and CRVNA, Shriners Hospitals.
