Nathalie Bodak Dailey, 77, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2020, at her home in Millinocket, Maine. Nathalie was the daughter of the late Andrew D. Bodak, Sr. and the late Madeline Mahaffy Bodak LaRoche. She was born in Bristol on December 5, 1942, where she lived for most of her life.

Nathalie graduated from Bristol Central High School in 1960. Then she went on to receive the following degrees: an Associate Degree in Social Work from Mattatuck Community College, a Bachelor Degree in General Studies from Teikyo Post University, and a Master of Science in Rehabilitative and Community Counseling from Central Connecticut State University.

She worked various jobs while raising her family and attending college. In 2006, Nathalie retired from the Wolcott Police Department after working as a Police Dispatcher and Records Clerk for 21 Years.

Nathalie was a member of the Wolcott Volunteer Fire Department Company #3 Women’s Auxiliary, serving as Vice President and Secretary. In addition, Nathalie also served the Wolcott community with her involvement with the Junior Women’s Club and the Commission for the Handicapped. She was also a member of Southington Genealogical Society and the Terryville Chapter of the Red Hats. Nathalie was a founding member of Riverside Baptist Church in Terryville. She enjoyed working in the nursery on many Sundays.

She is survived by one son, Craig Dailey of Andover, and four daughters: Sharon Wright, with whom she resided in Millinocket; Brenda and her husband John Farina III of Millinocket; Deanna Dailey; and Darcy and her husband Brian Quinn of Waterbury; seven grandchildren: Robert (Jamie) Stahl Jr., Andrew Snide and Makayla (Tyler) Liberty all of Champlain, New York; AmieLynn (Kevin) Eriksson and Melissa (Emilio) Crocco both of Millinocket; Elizebeth (James) Farina Schilling III and Evan Quinn both of Waterbury; and 23 great grandchildren. In addition, Nathalie is survived by her three brothers: Andrew Bodak, Jr of Terryville, Dennis and his wife Connie Bodak, Sr of Torrington, and Brian Bodak of Plainville. She also leaves two special aunts, Barbara (Bodak) Poole of Bristol, and Joan Mahaffy of Auburn, Maine, and a childhood friend Rosie Gomes Jeffries of Brooklyn, New York, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Nathalie was predeceased by her parents, a grandson, Casey Snide, a great grandson James Schilling IV, her children’s father Albert Dailey, and her close friend, who was like a sister, Claire Marti.

The family of Nathalie Dailey would like to thank the wonderful and compassionate staff of Community Health and Counseling Services in Lincoln, Maine, for the great care that they provided for our mother during her hospice at home. We are truly grateful, and appreciate the love and care with which all their employees treated our mother.

In the Spring of 2021, Nathalie will be interred in Edgewood Cemetery in Wolcott. A memorial service will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her remembrance to the Riverside Baptist Church in Terryville, the I Care Ministries in Millinocket, Maine, or the Community Health and Counseling Services in Lincoln, Maine.
