Opening Day for softball and baseball this year is Saturday, May 11. The traditional parade begins at 8:30 AM at AE/MS, with the teams walking from the school to Blackwater Park.
The day will be filled with competition, with softball on Corson Field at AE/MS and baseball at Blackwater Park. The softball U6 (under six years old) team plays at 9 AM, U8 at 10:15 AM, U10 at 12:30 PM, and U14 at 2:45 PM.
Andover Girls Softball (AGS) is still looking for more parents to get involved on its board. “Please get involved,” says AGS president Melissa Thompson. “We lost people on our board because their kids have moved on to high school, and now it’s time for younger people and fresh new ideas. So get involved – not for us, but for the girls.”
For more information, contact Melissa at 455-4622.
