New Trivia Night Brings Remote Entertainment to Andover

Individuals or teams may participate from home

As the March Beacon went to press, The Andover Community Hub was hosting its first in what is planned to be a monthly “Trivia Night” series open to public participation (on a first-come, first-served signup basis), and before a public audience via Zoom.  Look for the names of winners in the April Beacon.

The next Trivia Night will be held on Thursday, March 25, at 7 PM.  Participants and viewers may “attend” from their desktop or laptop computers at home, using a Zoom link obtained by sending an email to TheAndoverHub@nullgmail.com.

Future events are scheduled for the fourth Thursday of each month.  Those wishing to participate — as individuals or in teams — may sign up anytime via the email address above.  Teams are limited to six members. Questions are for all ages.

For those unfamiliar with events of this kind, it’s a fun time to test your knowledge, perhaps learn something, and possibly win a pizza. Trivial Pursuit, a board game similar in content to this live event, has been a popular pastime since the 1980s.

The contest host is Andover’s Ken Wells, a retired physics teacher, current Hub board member, and former New Hampshire State Representative serving Andover, Danbury, and Salisbury.  The show’s producer is Mark Vashro, also a Hub board member, and an award-winning actor/producer/director who recently relocated with his family to Andover from California.
