The Beacon Welcomes New Volunteer Social Media Manager

Tom Hilton encourages others to get involved

The Andover Beacon’s new Volunteer Social Media Manager Tom Hilton, with his wife Kelli, are new residents to Andover.

Hello, Andover! My name is Tom Hilton and I am excited to be coming on board as the Beacon’s Volunteer Social Media Manager. My wife Kelli and I are new residents of Andover, but life-time Granite Staters.

One of the many things that makes New Hampshire the great state that it is are the tight-knit local communities, and Andover is no exception. We have been warmly welcomed to this beautiful town and are thrilled to get to be part of the Andover community.

The Beacon serves as a great way to get news out to the Andover’s residents and to allow former residents to stay in touch with their hometown. Through the use of the Beacon’s Facebook page, Andover residents past and present, far and wide, can easily stay in touch with news and happenings in town.

When thinking about our communities, I am often reminded of this quote from Helen Keller: “Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much.” A thriving community is a group effort, and the Beacon is a tremendous catalyst to growing our community and helping others get involved.

I am very excited to be a part of the work that the Beacon is doing, and I would encourage others in our community to find ways to get involved in our town.
