Hello, everyone! We have had so much happening at Andover Community Church over this past year, and we feel the best is yet to come. Here are some things happening around the place:
On the second Sunday of the month, we have Kids Church led by Pastor Bill and his excellent team where kids sing, have wonderful activities, and learn about God’s love for them. Last month they chose how to spend $645 raised for Give-A-Goat, an international mission organization.
This month plans are being made to visit a local apiary. Please check out what is happening by going to AndoverCommunityNH.org and click on “Kids Church.” There are pictures, some songs the children are learning, and other interesting information.
Our summer Rummage/Yard Sales have started and are held on the last Saturday of each month and will continue through October. The hours are 9 AM to 1 PM. Come and see what we have, and mark your calendars. As usual, we sell many scrumptious baked goods, too!
Parking Lot
Our biggest project this year is the long-overdue paving of our parking lot. We have started a fund drive and are out to raise an additional $13,000 to reach our goal of $35,000.
We have two phases to this project. The first phase is to put drainage pipes from the Grange Hall to the road and out to the street drainage. This will take care of the water running flow.
The second phase is to take care of the Church, Grange Hall, and East Andover Village Preschool parking lots, which is really exciting and will eliminate the sharp incline getting in and out of our Sunday and weekday activities.
If you would like to contribute to raising the funds, a check can be written out to: Andover Community Church, PO Box 211, East Andover NH 03231, Attention: Donna Thompson, with “Parking Lot Fund” on the memo line. All donations would be a tax deduction.
Clothing Shed
The clothing shed has been well received and has become a meeting point for many in the community. We would like to thank everyone for their donations. The Church receives four cents a pound which is designated, in turn, for other missions around the community and beyond. Again, thank you very much.
For the time being, we continue taking precautions on Sundays by wearing face masks. One day soon, we are looking forward to the day we can see everyone’s smile. For information on service times or missional opportunities, contact us through our website or call the church office at 735-5160.
