A Big Thanks to J. Mac’s Service and Repair for Mower

Donation will help keep AHS grounds tidy

By Andover Historical Society

In the words of Richard Rodgers, “June is bustin’ out all over!” Everything’s in bloom and, as a bonus, we’ve enjoying some much-needed rain. Everywhere the grass is growing, including at the Andover Historical Society in Potter Place.

Amidst this explosion of green, we owe a huge thank you to John McDonald (J. Mac’s Service and Repair) for restoring and contributing a riding power mower to our organization. John’s craftsmanship and generosity – coupled with the good humor, hard work, and commitment of our volunteer mower, Spunk Ford of Potter Place, and aided by our weedwacker, Wyatt King of Beech Hill — will keep the place looking tidy.

Come by anytime to relax on the lawn in the shade at a picnic table or wander down in the coolness of The Secret Garden, and visit us at the museums in the railroad station and Emon’s store on weekends right through Columbus Day, on Saturdays from 10 AM to 3 PM and on Sundays from 12:30 to 3 PM.

Again, our gratitude to John, Spunk, and Wyatt for keeping our lawns shipshape!
