The Salisbury Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department will host its second annual open house on Saturday, May 11, from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Salisbury Fire Station, 276 Old Turnpike Road (Route 4), in Salisbury.
This is a great time for the community to come tour the fire station and the apparatus. During the open house, the community will have the opportunity to see the fire trucks, the ambulance, firefighting gear, an auto extrication demonstration, a live burn demonstration, get information from various tables, learn about fire safety, and see Smokey Bear.
There will be complimentary hot dogs, drinks, popcorn, snow cones, and cotton candy. Kids will especially enjoy the free fire hats, spraying the fire hose, and face painting.
