Salisbury residents Michael and Stephanie Prete who own The Kitchen Eatery and Catering are moving their Andover location to what used to be the famed Foothills Restaurant in Warner. They will be going from their current 1,400 square foot spot to a newly designed 5,200 square foot space with a new outdoor deck in the back of the restaurant, as well as a communal bar with barstool seating area along the front porch of the restaurant.
The new Kitchen’s forte will still be “slow-food” lunch based but will have a revolving dinner menu and, hopefully right away, brunch on Sundays. Other offerings will include local beers on tap, a great wine selection, a cocktail menu, and something on the menu for all palettes and dietary needs. Live music and occasional outdoor grilling is also in the plans.
Chef Michael said, “We consider so many of our customers close friends here in the Andover area but, with the amount of daily business and doing local catering as well as large event catering that’s now booked out to the end of 2023, we had no choice but to move to a larger location.
“We are excited but extremely sad to not see some of our favorite people (and their dogs) as often as we do now”. Andover patrons will just have a short drive over to Warner to keep access to the award-winning food and dog biscuits!
The Warner location is scheduled to open mid-August. Facebook and their website will be the same and still be host to their online ordering, daily specials, and special events.
Stephanie Prete mentioned that their new ordering system will also include an app where the customers will be alerted via text when their food has been bagged and ready for pick up. So wait in your car, or come in for a drink, and don’t worry about standing in lines for your food.
The Kitchen also plans to seek town approval for a drive-through window, as so many of their current customers take advantage of ordering and paying online and picking up at the window.
