The Twin Rivers Food Pantry is open for inside shopping! If you need assistance with food, come visit us. You choose what you need.

Once you are registered for your visit, grab a shopping cart, and you will be accompanied by a volunteer who will share necessary information about choices/quantities as you move through the space. You will be able to choose from our supply of nonperishable food items, fresh produce, frozen meats, frozen vegetables, dairy, and baked goods. You choose what your family likes and what your family needs.

You will be responsible for loading your groceries into your vehicle.  Help will be available if needed. Please bring reusable shopping bags or plastic bags if you have them. We do have paper or plastic bags if needed. Mask/face coverings are mandatory.

The Twin Rivers Food Pantry serves Franklin and the greater area, including Andover.  We are happy to be able to provide your family with food as needed.

The Pantry is open from 9 to 11 AM on Tuesdays and Thursdays and from 5 to 7 PM on Wednesdays. There are no “best times to come,” as the inventory of fresh produce and dairy items varies with no predictable pattern.  We give out what we get. Please contact Alison, our Director, with any questions at 934-2662 or info.TwinRivers@nullgmail.com

To receive food, you will need to provide a photo ID,  your contact information, names and dates of birth for all members of your household, and a verbal statement of household income. However, you have up to 60 days to provide us with this information. You will not be turned away.

The Pantry is located in the lower level of 2 Central Street in Franklin, on the corner across from Benson Auto. Our entrance is off the parking lot behind the building. During our service hours, a volunteer will greet you in the parking lot to explain the process.

The Pantry handled over 276,400 pounds of food during 2020, the equivalent of 232,833 meals!  Food is purchased weekly from the New Hampshire Food Bank; perishable food items are received almost daily from Hannaford and BJ’s as part of their participation in the Food Bank’s Fresh Rescue program; USDA commodities are received monthly; nonperishable food items are received regularly from private donations and community food drives.

Eighty percent of what we distribute is from the New Hampshire Food Bank and its Fresh Rescue Program. Our “Feed the Need!” initiative provides supplemental weekend food to children in area schools who are experiencing food insecurity. We operate with a part-time paid Director and more than 40 volunteers.

Give back to your community by volunteering with us once a month, once a week, or whatever you can do. Even an hour of your time makes a difference!

We are always seeking volunteers to assist during our service hours and during non-service hours to help with restocking shelves and other important tasks. Consider helping out for a few hours a week! Grab a friend and volunteer together.

Financial donations, nonperishable food donations, and plastic grocery bags are also welcome.  Your support is extremely helpful and appreciated!
