Something colorful and big is happening in New London over the Fourth of July weekend! The Center for the Arts (CFA) is hosting the second annual Arts on the Green, a juried fine arts and crafts show on Saturday, July 6, and Sunday, July 7. Art show chair Sheila Psaledas says, “We have assembled a showcase of exceptional artists from throughout New England.”

The arts show, taking place on the New London Town Green, is the only show of its kind in the Lake Sunapee area. Modeling itself after other successful shows on the coast and in neighboring states, this show will include over 35 fine artists and craftsmen with artwork which will appeal to a wide range of tastes.

Susie Gray, past chair of the Smithsonian Craft Show, says, “The Center for the Arts is proud to once again host this show as part of our ongoing mission to support and celebrate the arts in our region.” This show is part of the CFA’s schedule of programs throughout the year which highlight music, theater, and poetry as well as the visual arts each month.

This show will provide an opportunity for those in the area hoping to start or add to their collection of fine original artwork by many well-known New Hampshire artists, including oil, acrylic, and watercolor paintings, pastels, fine art photography, and printmaking.
