Hot off the press: A free, 22″ x 22″ full-color local map, neatly folded to fit into a backpack or handbag, “seeks to illuminate the abundance of exceptional arts and cultural assets that are interconnected throughout the greater Lake Sunapee region,” according to an explanatory paragraph.
Named the “Sunapee Region Arts Atlas,” the document identifies, shows the location of, and provides contact information for, 111 entities — museums, galleries, marketplaces, and more — in the 23 towns shown on the map. When the towns are listed alphabetically, Andover takes first place. Highlighted are the Andover Community Coffeehouse, Andover Community Hub, Andover Historical Society and Museum, Andover Public Library, Proctor Academy Lovejoy Library Gallery, and William A. Bachelder Library.
Free copies are available at Andover’s two public libraries and at the Andover Community Hub at 157 Main Street. Additional information is provided at SunapeeRegionArtsAtlas.org. The product is an initiative of the region’s Arts and Business Alliance, “a coalition of area arts organizations, businesses, and community leaders that focuses on creating arts and business partnerships to boost the local economy.”
