KLS Food Pantry Offers “Kid Bags” and Expanded Hours

New Wednesday hours start July 6

By Frannie and Gordon Terwilliger

The KLS Food Pantry is very grateful to Nancy Robart for her heartfelt article which appeared in last month’s issue of The Andover Beacon. The pantry board feels fortunate to have wonderful volunteers and to have had the community support it has enjoyed over the last few years. The hope is that we can continue to offer assistance to individuals and families, especially given these challenging days.
As we have done in summers past, we will once again be offering an additional “Kid Bag” to each family with school-age children. Each bag will contain breakfast and lunch items such as cereal, peanut butter and jelly, soup, etc. All the guests need to do is tell the volunteer assisting them that they would like one. This program will begin on Saturday, June 25, and will continue through the summer months.

On another note, we will be expanding our Wednesday hours. We will be open from 4:30 to 6:30 PM beginning on Wednesday, July 6.  We hope this extra time will be helpful.
A happy and healthy summer to all!
