Thrift and Gift Shop Presents Watercolors by Local Artist

Focus on landscapes and bridges

By Nancie Jacobson
Artist Conrad Young’s book on New Hampshire’s covered bridges is available at the Andover Thrift and Gift Shop along with his watercolor prints and note cards.

The Andover Service Club is pleased to welcome local artist Conrad Young to the Andover Thrift and  Gift Shop in July. Conrad is a gifted artist with strong ties to New Hampshire, spending his childhood growing up in small villages throughout the state.

After graduating from the Van Emburge School of Art in Plainfield, New Jersey, and a long and successful career in the advertising field, Conrad decided to pursue his love of watercolor painting and focus on the wonderful landscapes and covered bridges in New Hampshire. Each painting is preceded by hours of photography and research, culminating in an accurately depicted and documented piece for future generations to enjoy.

Please visit the Andover Thrift and Gift Shop to view the display of Conrad Young’s matted watercolor prints, note cards, and Conrad’s new book, New Hampshire’s Historical Covered Bridges. The book features Conrad’s impressive renditions of the covered bridges in our state, along with a location map. A wonderful gift!

The shop is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10 AM to 4 PM and Saturdays from 10 AM to 2 PM. Shop local and support the nonprofit Andover Service Club and our community artists and artisans. Thank you!
