Transfer Station Asks Townspeople to Read Signs

Ask attendants for help if needed; come early

Press release

The Andover Transfer Station asks that people using the facility read all the signs and ask questions if something is not understood.

Corrugated cardboard is our number one moneymaker, by far, with steel and aluminum next. We see far too much glass and metal go into our regular trash and compactors.

We hear a lot of people complain about taxes, while at the same time they are not recycling. This is not helpful at all.

The Town can get fined by not doing the right thing and following the rules.  The Town has got the fire pits up to code.

Please plan to come 15 minutes before the Transfer Station closes and not right at 5 PM. That would be a huge help to get everybody in and out.

Thank you for your cooperation.
