FNRT Summer Raffle Supports Maintenance and Projects on Trails

Prized donated by many local businesse

The Friends of the Northern Rail Trail recently awarded prizes donated by businesses along the trail as part of their summer raffle. Supporting maintenance and projects on the FNRT’s 59 miles, Lucas Marcos, 11 years old, picked the winning tickets at the end of the Andover Historical Society’s Old Time Fair in Potter Place on August 7.

The winner of the Trek Bike donated by Omer and Bob’s of Lebanon was Elizabeth Almeida of Westford, Massachusetts. Mario Ratzki of East Andover won the other grand prize of two nights lodging donated by the Highland Lake Inn, the rail trail Welcome Center in East Andover. 

Winners of the other big prizes were Ryan Benincase of East Andover (Goodale’s Bike Shop in Nashua) and Paul Couturier of East Andover (S and W Sports of Concord). 

Other gift certificate winners were Ryan Benincase (Belletete’s), Paul Hodgdon (Three Tomatoes Trattoria), Sarah Taylor (The Refinery), Brigid McNamee (Flying Goose Brew Pub), Cindy Benson (JJ’s Market), Danny Robart (Blackwater Junction Restaurant), Larry Kelly (The Smoke Shack), Denise Campion (The Baited Hook), Sherry Boschert (Salt Hill Pub), and Melanie Laurandeau (Andover Pizza Chef).
