Bonnie L. (Summarsell) LaPlante, 62, of Claremont, passed away with her family at her side on August 21, 2022, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Windsor, Vermont. on December 15, 1959. She lived in Bridgewater, Vermont until moving to Windsor where she graduated from Windsor High School in 1977.

After graduation she married the love of her life, Joseph LaPlante on March 11, 1978, and they had two sons, Jason and Jeremy. She was a homemaker and worked as a subcontractor for Whelen Engineering.

Bonnie enjoyed painting, motorcycle riding with her husband, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her parents, Percy and Janet Summarsell of Windsor, Vermont. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Joseph LaPlante; her brother Bruce Summarsell, his wife Theresa of Hartland, Vermont, and their three children Amber Summarsell, Nicholas Summarsell and Rachael Bienvenu; her son Jason A. LaPlante, Sr, his wife (Tricia-Lynn) of Andover, New Hampshire and their children, Jason A. LaPlante, Jr, Lauren A. LaPlante (and their mother, Alica LaPlante), and Deagan R. Poland; and her son Jeremy T. LaPlante of Concord, and daughter-in-spirit Kate A. LaPlante of Claremont, and their children Emily Root, Joshua LaPlante, Sarah LaPlante, Elle LaPlante and great-granddaughter, Daisy-Mae O’Clair.

Bonnie was a beacon of light in so many people’s lives and will be sorely missed.

A graveside service for Bonnie will be held on Saturday, August 27, at 11 AM at Mountainview Cemetery in Claremont.
