Craig Warren Bristol – December 2, 2022

Craig was born on December 29, 1929, in Bronxville New York to Kenneth Hull Bristol and Margaret Coe Bristol, and resided in Connecticut during his formative years.

He attended the Taft School for Boys, Yale University, and proudly served in the Navy on the USS Midway. He was joined in marriage to Emily on September 17, 1955 at St. Albans Church in Washington DC.

During his later years he was the recipient of many sales and marketing awards and accolades to include “Salesman of the Year” while working for several large corporations such as AMF, Sheraton, and ITT. Craig, for a short duration, was also the proud owner of Hatherly Foods of New London, a dairy distribution company. He worked hard, commuting many miles, to provide the best life possible to his family.

His loving dedication to his six daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends was never ending. Craig could regularly be found on the sideline or race trail of sporting events cheering for his daughters, grandchildren, and their friends.

Anyone that had the chance to meet Craig was provided the opportunity to experience his incredible kind-heartedness, perpetual positive outlook, integrity, extensive knowledge, and of course, his wonderful smile. One of his favorite stories was that of his trip as a young adult to Fairbanks, Alaska and his hitchhiking adventures from Alaska to Miami, Florida. Craig succeeded in leaving this world a better place and will forever be missed by many.

He is predeceased by his parents, his brothers Kenneth Coe Bristol and John Winship Bristol, as well as his bride, Emily Dixon Bristol (2015), and his eldest daughter Deborah Coe Bristol (1978).

Craig is survived by his remaining five daughters; Lynn George (husband Garry George) of Andover, Karen Losik and Sharon Morse (husband Robert Morse) of Bradford, Heather Bristol of Lewiston, Maine, Tracy Hiebert (husband Luke Hiebert) of Bethel, Maine, and Jill McGrale-Maher (surrogate daughter) of Westborough, Massachusetts. He had 18 amazing grandchildren; Jacob, J Andrew, Jared (Laura), Matthew (Catherine), Joshua, Ryan, Benjamin, Cory, Nicholas, Maxwell, Dylan, Michael, Rachel, Alexa, Jessica (Kenny), Jamie, Brooke, and Kira, and 10 great-grandchildren.

A memorial celebration of Craig’s life will be held in early summer of 2023.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Craig’s name to the Jack Byrne Center for Palliative and Hospice Care, 154 Hitchcock Loop Rd, Lebanon NH 03766.
