Blazing Star Grange #71 of Danbury will hold an open house on Sunday, February 5, from 2 to 4 PM, in honor of their master, Tricia Taylor, being elected master of the New Hampshire State Grange.
While Blazing Star Grange has known and appreciated Tricia’s leadership and dedication, having her recognized as an esteemed leader by grangers beyond our community is indeed an honor. Coming from a line of dedicated grangers, Taylor’s ancestors were charter members of both Blazing Star Grange and Mont Calm Grange in Enfield.
Having served on many Grange committees and having been an officer in the various levels of the Grange, called degrees, she has been chosen to lead the New Hampshire State Grange during its 150th year of serving the rural community, strengthening families, advancing education, and supporting agriculture.
What is the Grange? What does it do? In addition to being a casual reception, get answers to your common questions as the event will also explore Blazing Star Grange’s past accomplishments, present programs, and tomorrow’s visions. There will be refreshments, exhibits, and activities for kids and families. There is a blizzard date set for Sunday, February 12.
Blazing Star Grange #71 has been active in Danbury since December of 1875. The historic Grange Hall is located at 15 North Road, just a stone’s throw from the intersection of Routes 4 and 104, in Danbury.
