Andover’s Blackwater Poets Present “Winter Light”

Wednesday, February 15, at 7 PM, at the Hub

By Susan Chase

“Winter Light,” a reading by the Blackwater Poets, will take place at the Andover Community Hub on Wednesday, February 15, at 7 PM, featuring Andover poet Laurie Zimmerman, and joined by local poets Susan Norris and Sarah Will, reading their own poetry and that of Ethney McMahon, a former resident of Andover.

The contemporary lyric poetry of this long-established Andover poetry group is influenced by the woodlands and lakes surrounding the Blackwater River and shadowed by Kearsarge, Ragged, and Tucker Mountains.

Zimmerman’s full-length poetry collection, “Bright Exit,” was published in 2014; her work and that of the other poets has appeared extensively in literary journals as well.

All are welcome; refreshments will be served.  For more information on this and other Hub events, contact TheAndoverHub@nullgmail.com or 603 735-5509.
