Anne Mary Haley, 88, of Andover passed away at Golden Crest Retirement Home on Thursday, February 9, 2023. Anne was born in Franklin on July 10, 1934, to parents Alfred Thibeault and Rose (Dussault) Thibeault.
After graduating Franklin High School in 1952, Anne attended Plymouth Teachers College (now Plymouth State University), where she graduated with a double major in Business and English Arts in 1956. After graduation, Anne married Charles Hilpl on October 5, 1957, and moved to New York where they had three sons: Glenn, Lawrence and Martin. After her first husband passed, Anne returned to New Hampshire with her sons and began teaching business, shorthand, and typing at Pierce College for Women and later became the Dean of Women.
On July 25, 1965, Anne married Frank Monroe Haley, worked towards obtaining her Master’s Degree at University of New Hampshire, and became the co-owner of Haley Lumber Co.
In her retirement, Anne enjoyed tending her garden, studying her bible, and spoiling her granddaughters.
Anne is predeceased by her brothers Alfred Jr., Ronald and James as well as her sister, Arlene. She is survived by her sons and their wives Michael and Vickie Haley, Glenn and Irene Haley, Lawrence Haley, Marty and Norma Haley, her daughter Joan and her four grandchildren Jennifer, Katie, Mariah, and Shannon as well as her two great-granddaughters, Tenaya and Lee Ann.
Anne will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family, her generosity, her kind words, gentle smile, and easy laughter.
