Kristal Laroche, owner of “For the Love of Crafts” has joined the Andover Thrift and Gift Shop as a new “in-house” artisan. Kristal served in the US Navy as a TM3 Torpedoman’s mate third class on the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower CVN-69, based out of Norfolk, Virginia. Kristal was captain of a 50-caliber machine gun mount, a firearms instructor, and maintained the ship’s small weapon armory.

We thank Kristal for her service to our country, and we are honored to welcome her to the shop. Kristal offers a variety of skillfully crafted items including hand painted signs, fun-loving gifts, seasonal décor, camping wear, and more.

Sunapee-based “Creations by Cheryl” offers an exquisite collection of gemstone bracelets, necklaces, and earrings at very reasonable prices; paracord utility bracelets for just $5 each; and knit frill scarves in a rainbow of colors. The shop also carries a variety of delightfully wrapped containers of dried garden herbs, mixes, and herb-infused oils from Andover Garden Club member Anne Hewitt. And don’t forget, the Andover Thrift and Gift Shop is your local carrier of 100% all-natural Cardigan Mountain soaps, lotions, and body mist gift packages.

It’s Winter Clearance time during the month of March at the Andover Thrift and Gift shop. Coats, jackets, sweaters, socks, scarves, and hats are half price! Stock up on a big assortment of new and carefully selected next-to-new items for the whole family.

Stop by the shop at 26 School Street in Andover, next door to the Andover Elementary/Middle School. Shop Hours are Tuesday through Thursday, 10 AM to 4 PM, and Saturday 10 AM to 2 PM. Please note, due to many generous donations and consignments, we must put a hold on both until April, when we will be accepting good condition, clean spring and summer items. Thank you!
