Adventure Park at Mount Sunapee Resort Opens May 25

Weekends and holidays until June 22; daily through Labor Day

Press release

The Adventure Park at Mount Sunapee is open weekends and holidays starting May 25, and then daily from June 22 through Labor Day. The Adventure Park, which debuted last summer, offers the same fun, challenge, exhilaration, and discovery that families relish during the winter months at Mount Sunapee. The Park features a 2 ½ hour Canopy Zip-Line Tour, an Aerial Challenge Course, off-road Segway PT Excursions, an 18-hole Championship Disc Golf Course, an 18-hole Miniature Golf Course, and chairlift rides to the top of South Peak. The fall schedule is weekends and holidays from September 7 through October 14.

The Canopy Zip-Line Tour is guided and includes eight zip-lines, three rappels, and rope bridges as adventurers soar above and through the trees as they travel ¾ of a mile down South Peak. The highlight is the final side-by-side 1,000′ zip-lines where guests can race each other to the last platform.

The Aerial Challenge Course is self-guided and features four loops of varying difficulty with eight unique challenges on each loop. It is designed for ages 6 and older.

The off-road Segway PT Excursions are guided and include an orientation and instruction on how to use these fascinating machines.

The excursion includes wooded trails and open slopes with spectacular views.

The Disc Golf Course starts at the top of South Peak and winds its way down to the bottom through the woods and on the ski trails.

The greens fee includes a chairlift ride up to the first tee. The Wild Goose Waters Miniature Golf Course is open during the day as well as Friday and Saturday nights until 8:30pm under the lights.

Some new features are being added to the Adventure Park this summer: Two of the four loops in the Aerial Challenge Course will be new. There will be a beginner, novice, intermediate, and advanced loop, totaling 32 challenges. The new AcroBag airbag, which was used in the Bob Skinner’s 603 Terrain Park this past winter, will be relocated to the Adventure Park. You can launch yourself into the 50′ X 50′ AcroBag on skis, a snowboard, or on a snow tube off a ramp covered with an artificial snow surface. An Interpretative Hiking Trail will also be opening from the top of South Peak highlighting some of the flora, fauna, and history of the area. These new features are scheduled to be open by early July.

There are activities for all ages and all levels of bravado, plus most activities can be enjoyed together as a family. Activity prices range from $3 to $69. There are age and weight restrictions for some of the activities in the Adventure Park as well as some clothing and footwear requirements. Reservations are recommended for the Canopy Zip-Line Tours and Segway PT Excursions.
