Good Day Respite Program Restarts at Kearsarge Presbyterian Church

Had been closed due to COVID-19 pandemic

Press release

After closing in 2020 at the start of the pandemic, the Lake Sunapee VNA Good Day Respite program is scheduled to return on May 2 at the Kearsarge Community Presbyterian Church in New London. “We are thrilled to be re-opening this much needed program for people with mild to moderate dementia and their caregivers,” says Jim Culhane, President and CEO. “Two days a week, caregivers can take a break and let Lake Sunapee VNA staff and volunteers provide a safe and enjoyable environment for their loved ones.”

Good Day Respite will be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 AM – 3 PM. The program costs $50 per day and includes social interaction, hands-on projects, lunch, entertainment, 10 AM – 12:15 PM, or noon – 3 PM, and people can volunteer as much or as little as their schedule allows.
