Learn to identify birds by sight and sound with life-long birder, Bill Chaisson, starting at 7 AM, Saturday, May 20 at Langenau Forest on Messer Road in Wilmot.
Wander Wilmot is a series that ventures into Wilmot’s natural and historic areas with an expert guide. The program is sponsored by the Wilmot Community Association (WCA).
Chaisson has been a birdwatcher for more than 50 years. “I chose the college I attended because it offered ornithology. In the end, I became a geologist and studied extinct species of amoebae.
“Then I spent 15 years as a community journalist,” he said. “Now that I’m the property and land-use clerk for Wilmot, I have more time for birdwatching.”
Advance registration is required and limited. Visit the WCA’s website, WilmotWCA.org, to register; call the WCA’s office at 603 526-7934; or send an email to WCA@nullWilmotWCA.org. Please use “Wander Wilmot: Spring Bird Walk” in the subject line of your email.
