White-Tail Deer Grazes on Periwinkle in East Andover

This white-tail deer enjoyed a morning munching on our periwinkle ground cover this past March. There has been a group of six or more deer seen grazing on bare ground this winter and spring. They can be destructive on shrubs and young trees when food is scarce – the acorn production last fall was very poor.
