Lorraine Fanelli Christy, 65, passed away peacefully at her home in Andover, with her husband and children by her side on April 28, 2023. She was born on May 5, 1957 in Poughkeepsie, New York, to her loving parents Joan (Pink) Fanelli and Daniel Fanelli; she was their only child. Lorraine grew up in Pleasant Valley, New York on a family-run poultry farm. She attended Arlington High School.
Lorraine moved to the Upper Valley after marrying her first husband in 1979. After having her two children, Danielle and Michael, in the early ’80s, she was a homemaker and ran a cleaning business. She lived in Hartford, Vermont for twenty years before marrying her second husband Sean Christy and moving to Andover. Lorraine took care of many animals, including raising chickens. She enjoyed photography at which she spent countless hours photographing her three granddaughters. Her hobbies were caning chairs, knitting, crocheting, cooking, and baking. And most of all thrift store shopping.
She is survived by her husband of twenty-three years Sean Christy; daughter, Danielle (DePalo) Brower of White River Junction, Vermont; son, Michael DePalo of Andover; and four grandchildren, Kaedence and Kamryn Brower of White River Junction, Vermont, and Christina and Jaiden DePalo of Andover. Lorraine was predeceased by her father and her half siblings Maryann Fanelli, Frank Fanelli, and Danny Fanelli.
