BeaconFest Celebrates Andover’s Community Newspaper

August 13 event proceeds go to The Beacon

Press release

Attention friends and neighbors: You are all invited to attend this summer’s biggest celebration: BeaconFest!

The Beacon continues to be a symbol of the wonderful reasons we call this place home, and that deserves celebrating. On Sunday, August 13, starting at noon on the Village Green, the festivities will kick off with our nation’s Pledge of Allegiance. Shred-worthy rock and roll band Diamond Special will begin promptly afterwards under the Naughty Nellies main stage tent.

At 2 PM, take a break from the heat and enjoy Absolutely Magic performed by Andrew Pinard in the Stone Chapel. This performance is fun for all ages! At 3:15 PM, The Ferns, with a vocal powerhouse and renditions from all decades, will hit the stage back under the main tent. Alongside all this lively entertainment will be vendors and games of all kinds as well as delicious food and drinks from multiple vendors.

Amazingly, this event is free for all, but remember that all proceeds are to benefit The Beacon, so bring a few extra bucks to spend on goodies and to drop in a donation jar.

If you are a crafter, creator, educator, advisor, farmer, or any other “er” that you’d like to present to the community as a vendor, please email ty@nullthecblife.com or find the QR code included in this issue’s BeaconFest ad. We can’t wait for you to join us to celebrate Andover and the surrounding communities, the people who live here, and the newspaper that keeps us all informed!
