The experience of living for a year in China in 2018-19 with their two school-age daughters will be shared by Andover residents Harvey and Jessica Pine, on Wednesday, June 28, 7 PM, at The Andover Community Hub. This free event is open to the public and refreshments will be served.
The family lived in Chengdu, where Harvey taught high school math and science, Jessica served as Director of Instruction in the QSI International School, and the girls attended school. The Pines will show photos and talk about their experiences, describe the ways in which life there differs from life in the U.S., and share their observations about the people, daily life, the culture, etc. The family also traveled extensively around China, as well as to Japan and Thailand, during their year abroad.
The Andover Community Hub is located at 157 Main Street and is universally accessible. Parking is limited; if Hub spaces are full, participants are asked to park in the AE/MS or Post Office lots. For further information, contact TheAndoverHub@nullgmail.com or 603 735-5509.
