Connecticut-based Kala Farnham returns to the Andover Community Coffeehouse on Friday, June 16, at 7 PM, after a three-year hiatus since her pandemic-necessitated Zoom performance in 2020, for which she received rave audience reviews. Farnham will be the featured performer at the in-person monthly Andover Community Coffeehouse at the Highland Lake Grange in East Andover.
Selected in 2022 as the Connecticut State Troubadour, and armed with a voice and a variety of instruments, Farnham draws from a classical and theatrical background to inspire through the power of musical storytelling and a reinvention of the folk tradition.
The Coffeehouse is open to the public at no charge, although generous donations are encouraged when the hat is passed, to be shared with the featured act. Doors to the Grange Hall open at 6 PM for food and beverage purchases, and for open mic sign-ups on a first-come, first-served basis. Music begins at 7 PM, and the evening may include up to five two-song open-mic acts.
